EU Entry: Church Greets EU with Chimes at Noon
Ljubljana, 1 May - Churches around Slovenia celebrated EU accession with the chiming of church bells at noon, which was longer than usual. Moreover, a special mass was held at the Maribor cathedral in the morning, given by Coadjutor Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin Bishop Franc Kramberger. Apostolic Nuncio Santos Abril y Castello, meanwhile, offered a mass at the pilgrimage site of Brezje.
