STRASBOURG, France - A two-day meeting of mayors of capitals and major regional centres from EU member states is to begin. Slovenian officials have been invited to attend.

BUDAPEST, Hungary - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Logar is to visit Budapest, where he is to hold regular political consultations between Slovenia and Hungary.

LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy is to present the results of the project "Natura 2000" in Slovenia to the press at 12.30 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Education Minister Slavko Gaber, State Secretary Lucka Lorber and Director of the Centre for Mobility and European Education and Training Programmes Majda Sirok are to present European mobility programmes and international cooperation in higher education at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - An IMF Fiscal Affairs Department delegation in charge of budget drafting and implementation is to pay a visit to Ljubljana until Friday. The delegation is to meet Ciril Pucko, the chair of the parliamentary finance and monetary policy policy, and Andrej Bajuk, the chair of the parliamentary budget and public finance oversight commission.

VRHNIKA - The Slovenian Armed Forces Command at Vrhnika will host an international working meeting on psychological operations (PSYOPS) until Thursday. Attending will be officials of the NATO supreme command in Europe and military officials from Canada, Belgium and Germany.

PORTOROZ - A two-day international conference on the 5th Pan-European Corridor is to wrap up.

MARIBOR - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to hold a press conference at 1 PM after paying a visit to Maribor.

IG - The Slovenian Red Cross is to discuss the 2003 report and pass a programme and a financial plan for 2004 at a general assembly.

IZOLA - The Tour of Slovenia, Slovenia's biggest cycling race, is to kick off with the first two stages. (STA)
