Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 1 to 7 May

Ljubljana, 8 May - Slovenia became a full-fledged member of the EU on 1 May, in what was labelled to be a historic event comparabale to the country's independence. The week was marked by the entry celebrations and the first official appearances of Slovenians in the EU institutions. On the domestic scene, the opposition and the ruling coalition exchanged fire over corruption allegations.
