Ljubljana, 9 May - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 10 May:

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary European affairs commission and the Slovenian members of the EU-Slovenia joint parliamentary committee are to discuss a series of EU-related topics and documents, including Slovenia's EU priorities in 2004; at 1.30 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - An EU team of veterinary inspectors is to begin a five-day visit to check rabies monitoring in Slovenia.

PORTOROZ - The country presiding over the Adriatic Ionian Initiative, Slovenia is to host the 4th meeting of speakers of parliament or other parliamentary officials from this regional partnership; begins at 2 PM, news conference at 5.30 PM. (STA)

KOPER - The support provided by foreign policy for the Slovenian economy upon EU entry and relations with the former Yugoslav countries are to be discussed by a panel hosted by the Club of Businessmen from the Slovenian Istria; FM Dimitrij Rupel to attend; at 5 PM.

LJUBLJANA - A two-day seminar on the implementation of quality regulation is to be organised by the Interior Ministry under the sponsorship of the OECD and the Stability Pact, with Minister Rado Bohinc as the key-note speaker; at 9 AM.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Vlado Dimovski is to attend a two-day 3rd Cohesion Forum.

RAVNE NA KOROSKEM - A meeting with leader of the Liberal Democrats Anton Rop is to focus on how Slovenia could be "improved" over the next 10 years; at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Alenka Paulin, the Youth Party and the Greens' first-listed candidate for a seat in the European Parliament, and president of the Hunters' Association Bojan Lepicnik are to speak to the press about environmental topics at 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Geneva Centre for Security Policy is to organise a seminar within Slovenia's preparations for the 2005 OSCE presidency; at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to host a Slovenian-Bulgarian business conference; at 11 AM.

POLJCE - Representatives of 22 NATO and Partnership for Peace countries are to take part in a conference of NATO's working group for education and training.

LJUBLJANA - Results of a survey about eating and recreational habits of Slovenians are to be presented at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The 20th edition of the Druga godba festival of world music is to be presented to the press at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The 2004 Plecnik awards for achievement in architecture are to be conferred at a special ceremony at the National Gallery at noon. (STA)
