Ljubljana, 14 October - On 8 October the three-month moratorium on the implementation of independence expired, and the Slovenian Assembly and government passed a range of measures, which signify in effect the practical resumption of the independence process, forcibly halted by the military aggression of 26 June. The Slovenian public, meanwhile, awaited the further implementation of these measures with some trepidation, chiefly because it has appeared for some time that nobody can stop the unbridled Serbian war machine in Croatia, although for all that, the determination for an inevitable and conclusive implementation of independence has in no way diminished.
