LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to convene for an emergency session discussing, for the first time after Slovenia joined the EU, government-proposed documents listing the country's priorities regarding EU matters in 2004; at 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Anton Rop is to attend an assembly of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS), speaking about trends in the Slovenian economy; at 1.15 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The National Council, the parliament's upper chamber, is to hold a ceremonial session focussing on the Slovenians in the united Europe; at 5 PM. (STA)
LONDON, Great Britain - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to hold a meeting with Foreign Secretary Jack Straw at 2.15 PM to discuss bilateral and EU matters. He is also to take part in a panel on the new Europe, the constitution and other EU priorities. (STA)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - The enlarged European Commission is to convene for its weekly session, with Slovenia's Janez Potocnik taking part.
LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to open a new info centre for small- and medium-sized companies, Infopika; at noon. (STA)
LJUBLJANA/MARIBOR - The GZS, as a representative of the employers, and the Trade Union of Metal and Electronics Industries (SKEI) are to outline their views on the annex to the tariff supplement of the collective agreement for industry at separate news conferences, scheduled for 10 AM and noon respectively.
LJUBLJANA - A conference on new business opportunities in Japan is to be organised by the GZS at 10 AM. (STA)
MARIBOR - The Customs Administration is to speak about a recent seizure of a largae quantity of drugs at a border crossing with Croatia; at 11 AM.
CANNES, France - The Film Fund of Slovenia is to promote Slovenian film at the Cannes film festival for the first time, featuring several Slovenian contemporary films until 22 May. (STA)
ISTANBUL, Turkey - Slovenian duo "Platin" is to compete for the finals of the 49th edition of the Eurosong contest, due on 15 May. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Book launch of "Joze Plecnik - Jan Kotera: 1897-1921 Correspondence" by Damjana Prelovsek; at noon.
LJUBLJANA - The names of ten nominees for Desetnica, a new award for youth fiction by the Slovenian Writers Association, are to be revealed at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The New Slovenia (NSi) is to submit its list of candidates for the European elections at the National Electoral Commission at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA The National Party (SNS) is to present its candidates for the European elections at a press conference at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The Youth Party (SMS) and the Greens are to submit signatures in support of their list of candidates for the European elections at the National Electoral Commission 10 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The Democratic Party of Slovenia (DS) is to present its list of candidates for the European elections at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The Party of the Slovenian Nation and Mihael Jarc are to present the candidates for the European elections at 11 AM.
