LJUBLJANA - The government is to discuss the 2004 spring report on economic trends, and a draft long-term programme of Slovenian Armed Forces development. The first national convergence programme, which would then be submitted to the European Commission, is expected to be adopted; press conference 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The National Council for Sustainable Development is to convene for its first session, to be chaired by Minister of Regional Development Zdenka Kovac; news conference at 4 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Croatian police led by its director Ivica Franic is to pay an official visit to meet director general of the Slovenian police Darko Anzelj as part of regular annual meetings of top police officials; press conference at 12:30 PM. (STA)

LENDAVA - Director of the Foreign Ministry Office for Slovenians Abroad Jadranka Sturm Kocjan is to attend a meeting to prepare a Central European Initiative conference on ethnic minorities. She is then to meet representatives of the Slovenian and Hungarian minorities.
LJUBLJANA - A publication about the oldest writing in Slovenian or any Slavic language is to be presented at 11 AM. Prior to the Monday opening of the show of the Brizinski spomeniki (Freising Manuscript) in Ljubljana, FM Dimitrij Rupel is to address a ceremony marking the arrival in Slovenia of this unique historical document created between 972 and 1039 AD; at 5 PM. LJUBLJANA - A press conference at 10:30 AM presenting the 3rd international congress on suicide, due to begin on Friday. The latest data about suicide in Slovenia is to be revealed.
MARIBOR - The Magdalena festival of creative communication is to begin.
KRANJ - An exhibition is to mark 25 years since the first Slovenian expedition climbed the Mount Everest.
