Unemployment is the most immediate problem of the young

Ljubljana, 16 October - This morning, at the Slovenian Assembly and organized by the Board for issues concerning the young, a debate was held on the problems of first employment and employment of young adults in the Republic of Slovenia. Apart from the Minister of Labour Jožica Puhar, a number of delegates from the Assembly, certain experts which are involved with issues regarding the younger population and representatives from the Employment Agency, also participated in the debate. Jožica Puhar introduced certain government's measures regarding employment and lowering of the unemployment rate and mentioned the possibilities for gaining additional education and qualification for those that lost their jobs or are seeking first time employment. Changes are also expected with taxation laws, since in government's opinion, various tax rebates would stimulate new job opportunities.
