The report on nuclear safety in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 16 October - "The attack on nuclear plant Krško is possible, as is the attack on any important facility in Slovenia", the director of the Republican Administration for Nuclear Safety Miroslav Gregurič stated at the today's meeting of the Committee for Environmental Conservation and Natural Heritage. As is already known, the nuclear power plant in Krško was forced to stop and later limit its operation because of sabotage in July and to inform all international forums from this field. Because the power lines were the target of the sabotage, the question remains, to what extent is the power plant insured against the possible greater power cuts. Mister Gregurič assured that this has been taken care of, because the power plant has beside the internal sources of energy also an arrangement with some power plants at home and abroad.
