Still no Results in Tuition Fee Talks; SMS Might Press with Referendum

Ljubljana, 18 May - No agreement has yet been reached on the state funding of tertiary education between the Slovenian Students' Organisation (SOS) and Education Minister Slavko Gaber, as the minister still insists that the master's level will be liable to tuition in the new education system. The opposition Youth Party (SMS), meanwhile, said it would not shrink from referendum option if the state does not pledge to fund five years of tertiary education.
