BRIJUNI, Croatia - Slovenian President Janez Drnovsek is to attend a conference hosted by Croatian President Stipe Mesic at which trust among nations will be discussed with Sulejman Tihic, head of the three-member presidium of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic. News conference scheduled for Sunday. (STA)

PEKRE - Speaker of the National Assembly Borut Pahor is to address a ceremony marking what is known as Pekre events; in May 1991 Slovenia began training its soldiers at two training centres, one of which - the Pekre one in Maribor - was surrounded by the Yugoslav People's Army (JLA) in a bid to stop the formation of Slovenian armed forces. An anti-army demonstrator was run over and killed by a JLA tank; at 11 AM. (STA)

MARIAZELL, Austria - The Gathering of Catholics from Central Europe, which began on Friday, is to culminate with Saturday's "Pilgrimage of Nations" in Austria's Mariazell. In addition to several Slovenian Church officials, some 7,000 Slovenian pilgrims are expected to be in the crowd estimated to reach 100,000 people.

LJUBLJANA - Defending European women's handball champions Krim of Ljubljana will chase a one-goal deficit in the return leg of the Champions League final against Denmark's Slagense. The game begins at 7:45 PM. (STA)
