German Drowns in the Soca
Tolmin, 22 May - A German kayaker drowned in the whitewater Soca River on Friday, the Nova Gorica police reported. The 46-year-old's kayak tipped over and a strong current took him about 1.3 km downstream, his head under water. His friends friends pulled him out of the water further downstream but he was already dead.
