Izola Turned into a "Cinema Island" This Week

Izola, 25 May - Over the next few days, the seaside town of Izola will host the first edition of an international festival showcasing 23 feature-length films from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. The "Kino Otok - Isola Cinema" festival, which opens tonight, will be attended by a number of the authors, among them young Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, the winner of the Jury Prize at this year's Cannes.
