First Desetnica Award Goes to Sea-Seasoned Dolenc

Ljubljana, 25 May - The Slovenian Writers' Association has conferred the award for literature for children and youth on Mate Dolenc for "Leteca ladja" (Flying Ship), a collection of short stories. The Desetnica Award, named after the "tenth daughter" traditionally banished from home, was given out for the first time Tuesday evening.
