MONDAY, 31 May
LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to convene for an extraordinary session to debate corruption and cronyism, and examine a petition for a referendum on the systemic bill on the erased.
LJUBLJANA - The government and the public sector trade unions are to sign an agreement on amendments to the act on public sector wages.
LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of Defence is to speak to the press about the army's cooperation with civilian organisations and associations.
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Samuel Zbogar is to receive Helga Konrad, OSCE special representative for the fight against people trafficking and head of the SE Europe Stability Pact working group on the prevention of trafficking in persons.
LJUBLJANA - The association Kljuc (Key), an NGO fighting trafficking in person, is to host a conference on the prevention of trafficking in persons entitled "Are We Aware?".
LJUBLJANA - To mark the World No Tobacco Day, the Health Ministry is to talk to the press and unveil smoking prevalence statistics for Slovenia.

TUESDAY, 1 June
LJUBLJANA - European Enlargement Commissioner Guenter Verheugen is to pay a visit to Slovenia accompanied by the Slovenian European Commissioner in charge of enlargement Janez Potocnik. He is to be received by President Janez Drnovsek, PM Anton Rop and Europe Minister Milan Cvikl.
RABAT, Morocco - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to pay an official visit to Morocco at the invitation of his Moroccan counterpart Mohamed Benaissa.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Health Minister Dusan Keber and Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski are to attend a two-day session of the EU Council on Employment, Social Policy and Health and Consumer Protection.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Environmental awards for 2004 are to be conferred as part of the Europe-wide Green Week. Slovenia's Gorenje, a maker of household appliances, and Elpa, a specialist in industrial lubricating technologies, are among the nominees.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Bishops' Conference is to present a statement entitled "Opportunity for the Fulfillment of Our Values", which the European Bishops' Conference drafted to address voters ahead of elections to the European Parliament.
KOPER - Logistics company Intereuropa is to talk to the press to present Q1 results.

WEDNESDAY, 2 June
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - The EU's finance ministers are to convene for a regular meeting. Slovenia's Dusan Mramor is scheduled to attend.
LJUBLJANA - The International Relations Association is to host a lecture on Slovenian-Croatian relations.
KOPER - The Faculty of Humanities is to organise a four-day conference entitled "Globalised Europe - Europe in the Globalised World of the 21st Century".
BLED - The Metrology Institute is to host the 18th general assembly of EUROMET, a European association of metrology institutes, which is to be attended by participants from 26 countries.
LJUBLJANA - The Agency for Radioactive Waste is to hold a press conference upon the conclusion of the reconstruction of the country's only storage facility for low and medium radioactive waste.
THURSDAY, 3 June
LJUBLJANA - UK Minister for Europe Denis MacShane is to pay an official visit to Slovenia.
GDANSK, Poland - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc is to attend a consultation of interior ministers from the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary on the new security situation that emerged after the expansion of the EU.
LJUBLJANA - Weekly government session.
KRANJSKA GORA - The institution Together, a Slovenia-run regional centre for the psycho-social wellbeing of children, is to organise a four-day conference on preventing violence in communities, schools and other institutions. About 100 participants are expected to attend.
LJUBLJANA - UNICEF Slovenija and the Chamber of Social Work are to host a seminar on ways of improving social work to the benefit of children.
PORTOROZ - Beginning of the 11th Days of Slovenian Insurance Companies, which is to focus this year on business operations in the EU.
FRIDAY, 4 June
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister of Serbia and Montenegro Vuk Draskovic is to pay an official visit to Slovenia.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign ministry state secretaries from Slovenia, Croatia and Italy are to discuss ways of resolving Croatia's controversial declaration of a protected ecological and fisheries zone in the Adriatic, due to enter into force in October.
IG - The Training Centre for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief is to mark its tenth anniversary with a special celebration.
SUNDAY, 6 June
KOCEVSKI ROG - A celebration is to be staged at the scene of summary killings to pay tribute to victims of post-WWII mass executions.
