Gjenero Says Croatia Cannot Declare Protected Zone
Ljubljana, 2 June - "It is certain that the Croatian protective ecological and fisheries zone cannot be declared," Croatian political analyst Davor Gjenero said in a lecture Wednesday. He believes that Croatia's intention is the consequence of a failed attempt by former deputy foreign minister Ivan Simonovic to ease Italy's pressure regarding the property of optanti, Italians who left Croatia and Slovenia after WWII.
