Ljubljana, 3 June - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 4 June:

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister of Serbia-Montenegro, Vuk Draskovic, is to pay an official visit. He is to be received by FM Dimitrij Rupel (10 AM), President Janez Drnovsek (noon), Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor (2:20 PM) and PM Anton Rop (3:15 AM). A joint press conference of the foreign ministers is scheduled for 11:35 AM. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign ministry state secretaries - Slovenia's Andrej Logar, Italy's Roberto Antonione and Croatia's Hido Biscevic - are to meet with officials of the European Commission at 10 AM to discuss Croatia's declaration of an ecological and fisheries zone in the Adriatic. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary committee for foreign policy is to meet behind closed doors at 9 AM to debate the upcoming meeting of the EU Council, scheduled for 17 June. It is expected that the committee will also debate the latest developments regarding Croatia's declaration of an ecological and fisheries zone in the Adriatic. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary commission investigating the potential involvement of public office-holders in the attack on journalist Miro Petek, is scheduled to meet at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Officials of the British Foreign Office and the Treasury are to meet with representatives of the Slovenian Foreign Ministry, the Government Office for European Affairs and the Office for Structural Policy and Regional Development for talks on the EU's 2007-2013 budget.

IG - The Training Centre for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief is to mark its tenth anniversary with a special celebration. The event, starting at 11 AM, is to be attended by Defence Minister Anton Grizold.

ISTANBUL, Turkey - A delegation of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) and the Economics Ministry is to attend a conference on small and mid-sized enterprises that has been organised by the Turkish Ministry of Economics and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

LJUBLJANA - The Trade Union of Metal and Electronic Industries, SKEI, is to talk to the press at 10 AM to present the signing of the collective wage agreement for the sector for 2004.

BRNIK - US logistics company UPS is to talk to the press at 11 AM to present the company's plans for Slovenia and cooperation with the Slovenian logistics company Intereuropa.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Blood Transfusion Centre is to hold a celebration at 11 AM to mark the day of Slovenian blood donation.

EUROPEAN ELECTIONS 2004

RADLJE OB DRAVI/DRAVOGRAD/SLOVENJ GRADEC/VELENJE - Candidates of the joint Euro slate of the Liberal Democrats (LDS) and Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) are scheduled to campaign in several towns in the Korosko region.

TRZIC/RADOVLJICA/KRANJSKA GORA/JESENICE/BLED/CERKLJE NA GORENJSKEM - The People's Party (SLS) will campaign for elections to the European parliament in the Gorenjsko region.

LJUBLJANA - Four candidates of the Slovenian Democrats (SDS) are to talk to the press at 11:30 AM to present the party's campaign agenda in the fields of health, education and social security.

KRSKO - Alenka Paulin, the top candidate of the Youth Party (SMS) and the Greens, is to talk to the press at 2 PM to outline the party's views on the Krsko nuclear power plant.

MARIBOR - Alja Brglez, the top candidate on the Slovenia Is Ours (SJN) candidate list is to discuss unemployment in Slovenia at a press conference scheduled for 2 PM.
