Dairies Want Lower Milk Buy-in Prices

Ljubljana, 9 June - The amount of milk purchased by Slovenian dairies has risen from 365 million litres in 1992 to 484 million in 2003. The dairies are the only ones solving the problem of excess milk, but they can no longer cope with that, representatives of leading dairies told the press Wednesday, adding that the dairies have generated a loss of SIT 700m (EUR 2.9m) so far this year.
