Ljubljana, 10 June - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 11 June:

LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD) is to present its Spring Report with major macroeconomic indicators at 1 PM. A debate chaired by IMAD director Janez Sustersic is to follow. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - At 9 AM, the parliamentary foreign policy committee is to discuss, behind closed doors, the upcoming session of the EU council for general affairs and external relations (14 June) and the session of European Council, due from 17 to 18 June. The committee for EU affairs is also to convene for its first session at 2 PM. (STA)

BRDO PRI KRANJU - The two-day international conference entitled "Building Cross-Border Security: The Role of the OSCE" is to wrap up after two panels and a news conference summarising the event at 1 PM. (STA)

SKOPJE, Macedonia - Prime Minister Anton Rop, accompanied by a business delegation, is to wrap up a two-day official visit to Macedonia, meeting President Branko Crvenkovski and Sobranje President Ljupco Jordanovski. A panel on economic cooperation is also to take place. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - At 10:30 AM, the non-parliamentary party Active Slovenia is to present two open letters: one urging the US president to pull troops out of Iraq, and the other addressed to the Spanish prime minister expressing support for Spain's withdrawl from Iraq. (STA)

BEIJING, China - Slovenian extreme swimmer Martin Strel is to begin his latest world-record quest - a swim of China's Yangtze River. He is scheduled to set on the 4,600-kilometre journey in the small town of Shigu, which lies in Yunnan Province, in the south of China. (STA)

WASHINGTON D.C., United States - Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor is to attend the funeral of the former US President Ronald Regan on behalf of Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The annual meeting of military attaches accredited to Slovenia is to begin at 9 AM.

NOVO MESTO - Views on the development of contemporary societies and human rights are to be discussed at a first regional conference entitled "Intercultural Forum" by politicians and people from other walks of life from former Yugoslavia at 10 AM. (STA)

PORTOROZ - A two-day conference of the public sector, entitled "Slovenia after EU Entry: Challenges and Opportunities" is to wrap up. Press conference at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Greens of Slovenia are to hold a news conference upon their 15th anniversary at noon. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The 45th edition of the Ljubljana Jazz Festival is to be presented at a press conference at 11 AM, to take place from 1 to 3 July.

VELENJE - Pretner Award is to be conferred on an Austrian translator for outstanding promotion of Slovenia's literature outside Slovenia, at the third edition of the Herberstein literary festival.

The last day of election campaign before election calm sets down on Saturday:

LJUBLJANA - The opposition New Slovenia (NSi) is hosting president of the German Pan-European Movement and MEP Bernd Posselt; press conference at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The European Forum of the coalition United List (ZLSD) is hosting a panel at 3 PM, featuring its first-seeded candidate Aurelio Juri.
