Slovenia Opposed to Beef Label "Made in the EU"
Luxembourg, 21 June - Slovenia opposes the introduction of a uniform EU label for beef, "Made in the EU", and instead favours the preservation of national designations of geographical origin. This is the position advocated by Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik at a meeting of EU agriculture ministers Monday, which focused on the formation of a beef labelling system following the mad cow scare.
