De Michelis urges solution to the present situation

Milan, 29 October - Slovenian foreign minister dr. Dimitrij Rupel met here yesterday evening with Italian foreign minister Gianni De Michelis. In the ensuing brief talk De Michelis acquainted dr. Rupel with the EC proposals adopted in Brussels yesterday. Dr. Rupel briefed his counterpat about the new complications in connection with the operation of the Slovenian air company Adria Airways and asked him to intercede with the Europen Community seriously to commit itself to solving the problem. De Michelis promised to mediate within the Community and in the Italian government towards finding a solution.
