Brussels to Pass First Assessment of Convergence Programmes
Brussels, 23 June - The European Commission will pass first assessments of convergence programmes for the ten newcomers to the EU on Thursday. In the programmes that had to be sent to Brussels by 15 May, Slovenia and the other nine new EU members outlined mid-term targets of economic, monetary and public finance policies and projections of macroeconomic trends.
