MPs Fail to Agree on Constitutional Change Regarding Provinces
Ljubljana, 23 June - Even after seven hours of debate the parliament failed to adopt Wednesday the position on the proposed changes to the article 143 of the Constitution, which would pave the way for provinces as compulsory element of constitutional arrangement in Slovenia. The position was backed by 45 out of 46 needed MPs.
