Ljubljana, 27 June - Schedule of events in the week from 28 June to 4 July:

MONDAY, 28 June
        ISTANBUL, Turkey - PM Anton Rop is to attend a two-day NATO summit.
        LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Ten commissioners from EU newcomers, including Slovenia's Janez Potocnik, are to be sworn in before the Court of the European Communities.
        LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Environment Minister Janez Kopac is to attend a session of the EU Council for the Environment.
        LJUBLJANA - The international network organisation, Forum of Slavic Cultures, is to be officially established, gathering seven countries in which Slavic languages are spoken.
        PARIS, France - President of the National Council Janez Susnik is to begin a two-day official visit to France.
        KLAGENFURT, Austria - The National Council of Carinthian Slovenians (NSKS), an umbrella minority organisation, is to mark its 55th anniversary.
        LJUBLJANA - The public broadcaster RTV Slovenije is to present results of a survey about the Slovenian people's expectations about the public TV.

TUESDAY, 29 June
        LJUBLJANA - As part of a two-day founding meeting of Forum of Slavic Cultures, a ceremony and a news conference are to be held to mark the establishment of the forum.
        LJUBLJANA - Economics Minister Matej Lahovnik is to discuss priorities of Slovenian economic policy after a new development strategy has been adopted by the government, at a session of the management board of the Chamber of Commerce.
        LJUBLJANA - A draft model of CAP implementation in the area of direct payments is to be discussed by the Agriculture Council. Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik to attend.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad is to hold a session.

WEDNESDAY, 30 June
        OSLO, Norway - PM Anton Rop is to begin a two-day official visit to Norway.
        LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council is to discuss Slovenia's priorities for the work on the EU Council in 2004.
        LJUBLJANA - The Academy of Fine Arts is to present an exhibition of Chinese and Slovenian art, entitled East of East; to open on Friday.

THURSDAY, 1 July
        LJUBLJANA - Dutch Ambassador Jan C. Henneman and head of the European Commission Representation Erwan Fouere are to outline priorities of the Dutch six-month EU presidency.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy committee is to discuss several NATO-related ratification documents before they are sent for adoption.
        TIRANA, Albania - Minister of European Affairs Milan M. Cvikl is to begin a two-day visit to Albania.
        LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session.
        LJUBLJANA - The 45th edition of the Ljubljana Jazz Festival is to begin, through Saturday.
        KOPER - The 11th Primorsko Summer Festival is to begin.

FRIDAY, 2 July
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy committee is to discuss priorities of the Dutch EU presidency.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to hold a session.
        THE HAGUE, Netherlands - Speakers of parliament from EU members are to begin a two-day meeting to discuss cooperation and European future.

SATURDAY, 3 July
        NOVA GORICA - The opposition Youth Party (SMS) is to hold a congress to elect a new party leadership and pass a new party programme.
