BRUSSELS, Belgium - Prime Minister Anton Rop is to attend the extraordinary EU summit in Brussels, which is expected to appoint Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, Portuguese prime minister, the next president of the European Commission.
ISTANBUL, Turkey - A two-day NATO summit is to wrap up. The Slovenian delegation headed by Prime Minister Anton Rop is to hold a news conference at 2:15 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The management board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to hold a session at 2 PM. Also attending will be Economics Minister Matej Lahovnik, who is to speak about economic policy priorities in the light of Slovenia's new development strategy. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The agricultural council at the Agriculture Ministry is to hold a close-door session to discuss the implementation plan of the direct payment scheme as foreseen in the common agriculture policy. Also attending will be Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik.
LJUBLJANA - As part of a two-day founding meeting of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, a ceremony and a news conference are to be held to mark the establishment of the forum. (STA)
PARIS, France - National Council President Janez Susnik is to wrap up his two-day official visit to France.
LJUBLJANA - Dutch Ambassador to Slovenia Jan C. Henneman and the organisers of the event "Netherlands and Slovenia: Bilateral Focus 2004" during the Dutch EU presidency, are to present the event to the press at 10:30.
LJUBLJANA - Minister of Education, Science and Sports Slavko Gaber is to present at noon the state of affairs in education, science and sports in 13 years of Slovenia's independence.
LJUBLJANA - The national broadcaster RTV Slovenija is to present to the press the findings of a study about what the Slovenian audience expects from the public TV.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary commission for relations with Slovenians abroad is to hold a session at 2 PM.
LJUBLJANA - A press conference ahead of the fourth Gay Pride Parade is to take place at 11 AM.
