Papers Examine Handover of Iraqi Sovereignty
Ljubljana/Maribor, 29 June - Slovenian papers have mixed views on Monday's surprise handover of sovereignty to the interim Iraqi government. Whereas Delo claims that the new Iraqi political system resembles the old one, Dnevnik claims that Iraqi security forces will only get the support of the Iraqi people once all foreign forces withdraw. Vecer, meanwhile, points out that most NATO allies are still reluctant to send troops to Iraq.
