No Need for Referendum on EU Constitution, Minister Cvikl Says
Ljubljana, 29 June - The lawmakers have the authority to fully decide on the ratification of the recently adopted EU Constitutional Treaty, said Slovenia's Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl in an interview for Tuesday's edition of the financial daily Finance. Parliamentary democracy is all about MPs deciding in the voters' name. Should they, however, decide to put the treaty to a referendum, Cvikl would not oppose it.
