LJUBLJANA - The foreign policy committee is to hold a session at 9 AM to hear the candidate for new foreign minister, Ivo Vajgl. Opposition parties NSi, SLS and SDS oppose the move because the incumbent Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel has not yet been dismissed and is still in office. (STA)
OSLO, Norway - Prime Minister Anton Rop is to wrap up a two-day official visit to Norway. (STA)
TIRANA, Albania - Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl is to begin a two-day visit to Albania. He is to meet Europe Minister Ermelinda Meksi, Deputy Albanian PM Namik Dokle, Foreign Minister Kastriot Islami and the head of the European Commission delegation in Tirana, Lotz Salzmann. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The Dutch Ambassador to Slovenia Jan C. Henneman and the head of the European Commission office in Ljubljana, Erwan Fouere, are to speak to the press at 10 AM as the Netherlands assumes the six-month rotating EU presidency. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A Polish delegation is to arrive for a visit to discuss with representatives of the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief an agreement on cooperation in natural and other disasters. The Polish delegation is to wrap up its visit on Sunday.
LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its regular weekly session. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to hold a debate on the problem of economic and social integration of Roma in Slovenia at 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The opposition Youth Party (SMS) is to hold a press conference at 11 AM ahead of a party congress on Saturday.
LJUBLJANA - The 45th Ljubljana Jazz Festival will be underway between 1 and 3 July.
KOPER - The 11th Primorsko Summer Festival is to begin. Focussing on charismatic persons, the festival will open with Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" directed by Dusan Jovanovic for the Ljubljana City Theatre.
