Ljubljana, 1 July - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 2 July:

LJUBLJANA - The collegiate body of the National Assembly is to meet at noon to determine when the parliament will vote on the proposal to dismiss Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and appoint Ivo Vajgl as his successor. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A joint session of the parliamentary committees on foreign affairs and EU issues is scheduled for 8:30 AM. The MPs will be briefed on the priorities of the Dutch EU presidency.

LJUBLJANA - Governor of the Chinese central bank Zhou Xiaochuan is to pay a working visit at the invitation of Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari. A press statement is scheduled for 3:30 PM. (STA)

TIRANA, Albania - Europe Minister Milan Cvikl will wrap up his two-day visit to Albania.

LJUBLJANA - The beginning of a three-day international meeting of governors of Soroptimist clubs, women's associations promoting the improvement of living conditions for women and equal representation in politics. A press conference is to be held at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The People's Party (SLS) is to talk to the press at 10:30 AM to present its view on the procedure to replace FM Dimitrij Rupel.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Democrats (SDS) are scheduled to hold a press conference at 11 AM to talk about current political affairs.

LJUBLJANA - New Slovenia (NSi) will comment current events at a press conference scheduled for noon.

THE HAGUE, The Netherlands - The beginning of a two-day session of parliament speakers from the EU.

MAASTRICHT, The Netherlands - The EU Council on Competitiveness is to meet for the first time under the Dutch EU presidency. Slovenia is to be represented at the two-day meeting by an Economics Ministry state secretary.

LJUBLJANA - Results of the latest Politbarometer survey are to be revealed at 10 AM.
