A commemoration at Nove Žale Cemetery

Ljubljana, 31 October - A ceremony took place today at 4 p.m. at Nove Žale Cemetery to commemorate the victims of the war for Slovenia. At this opportunity a war memorial was instituted, bearing the inscriptions of the names of the twenty eight casualties, together with the words: " Remember the distress, the breath of death, remember the hopes, looking through the ages, breathing in the scent of the blossoming of ancient dreams". The distinguished guests, among which were the Minister of Defense, Mr. Janez Janša, the Minister of Interior, Mr. Igor Bavčar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, dr. Dimitrij Rupel, the Minister of Information, Mr. Jelko Kacin and the member of the Presidency of the Republic of Slovenia, dr.Dušan Plut, were addressed by the President of the Slovenia Parliament, dr. France Bučar.
