The fighting in Croatia continues on All Saints' Day

Zagreb, 1 November - According to the reports coming from Croatia, the fighting shows no signs of dying down, despite the appeal voiced by Croatian President Tudjman. Shooting was reported in all crisis regions, while the fiercest battles raged around Vinkovci, Vukovar, Sunje, Sisak, Osijek, Zadar and Dubrovnik. Shortly after 5 p.m. today, the Yugoslav army redoubled its attack by land and by sea on the city of Dubrovnik. The repercussions of the fierce onslaught could also be felt strongly in the historical city centre. The convoy which left the harbour of Dubrovnik this morning is on it's way to Split.
