Mramor Defends Convergence Programme as Realistic and Ambitious
Brussels, 5 July - Finance Minister Dusan Mramor insists Slovenia's convergence programme for the 2004-2007 period is realistic and ambitious. "Critical assessments are not appropriate for they do not consider the consequences that EU and NATO entries will have on the Slovenian budget," Mramor told Monday's meeting of EU finance ministers, rebuffing the European Commission's criticism of the document.
