LJUBLJANA - A debate on the Slovenian development strategy, a document recently adopted by the government, is to take place. Following a presentation of the document, debates are to focus on individual segments of the strategy; begins at 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA/MARIBOR - Shareholders of the two largest Slovenian banks, NLB and NKBM, are to hold separate AGMs to vote on the distribution of the 2003 balance sheet profit. NLB is also expected to change the composition of the supervisory board and expand the management board. (STA)
KLAGENFURT, Austria - As part of a working visit, Minister of European Affairs Milan M. Cvikl is to meet Governor General of Austria's Carinthia Joerg Haider (1 PM), business people (4 PM) and representatives of the Slovenian minority (6 PM).
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Agency for the Environment is to receive the ISO 9001:2000 certificate at 11 AM, with director of the European Environment Agency Jacqueline McGlade to attend. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A panel on EU borders is to take place at 4:30 PM as part of the Brave New Europe international summer school. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Romanian President Ion Iliescu is to wrap up a two-day official visit after meeting Speaker Borut Pahor and holding meetings with local officials on the Slovenian coast.
LJUBLJANA - The supervisory board of the largest mutual insurer, Vzajemna, is to decide whether to go ahead with the company's planned increase of supplementary health insurance premiums for policyholders aged over 60 on 1 August. (STA)
MARIBOR - The coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to speak about Vzajemna's plan to raise supplementary health insurance premiums for policyholders aged over 60 at a news conference at 6 PM. The party has threatened to leave the government coalition if the government does not prevent the planned move.
LUXEMBOURG - As a first Slovenian judge at the court of first instance, Verica Trstenjak is to be sworn in at the Court of European Communities. While judges from the rest of the EU newcomers were sworn in back in May, Slovenia's first call for applications was not successful.
LJUBLJANA - The collegiate body of the speaker of parliament is to set the agenda of its last regular session before summer recess which begins on Friday. The collegiate body meets at noon.
LJUBLJANA - Mayor of Ljubljana Danica Simsic is to receive her counterpart from Leverkusen Irmgard Goldmann, and speak to the press about the meeting at 4:15 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The GLOBE-Slovenija parliamentary group is to meet to discuss a green tax reform at 4 PM. Finance Minister Dusan Mramor to attend.
LJUBLJANA - Intercity bus drivers are to hold up public passenger transport for two hours, beginning at 3 PM, after they have failed to agree on higher subsidies with the government. A similar protest is to follow on 14 July. (STA)
PTUJ - The Terme Ptuj spa is to hold a news conference at 10 AM.
