Pahor Resigns as Speaker
Ljubljana, 7 July - Borut Pahor has resigned as the speaker of parliament and thus opened the way for parliament to elect its new head even before the summer recess beginning on 16 July. Pahor will soon leave for European parliamentary benches as he was elected one of the seven Slovenian MEPs in June elections.
