Slovenia Wants Restrictive EU Budget Only in Case of CAP Changes
Ljubljana, 8 July - In light of the upcoming negotiations on the EU's 2007-2013 budget, the government insists on the position that Slovenia is in favour of a "broader budget insofar as it is not possible to change the common agriculture policy (CAP). If this does happen, we conclude that reducing funds for agriculture would provide more funds for cohesion and regional policies," Europe Minister Milan Cvikl said Thursday.
