Ljubljana, 10 July - Dimitrij Rupel and Borut Pahor took the spotlight last week as they seemed to be gearing up for upcoming career challenges. Rupel was dismissed as foreign minister at the start of the week only to join the opposition SDS deputy group two days later. Pahor meanwhile resigned as speaker of parliament, looking determined to assert himself in the European Parliament. The freshly-appointed Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl meanwhile had to deal with a Piran Bay incident for the first time.
