Ljubljana, 11 July - Schedule of events in the week from 12 to 18 July:
MONDAY, 12 July
LJUBLJANA - Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic will be visiting Slovenia upon invitation of his Slovenian counterpart Janez Drnovsek. Vujanovic is also scheduled to meet PM Anton Rop.
LJUBLJANA - EU Counter-terrorism coordinator Gijs de Vries is to visit Slovenia upon invitation of Interior Minister Rado Bohinc. De Vries's agenda includes meetings with PM Anton Rop, head of the Slovenian Intelligence Agency (SOVA) Iztok Podbregar and State Secretary at the Defence Ministry Tomaz Cas.
LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to continue its regular July session. The agenda includes questions to the government and PM Anton Rop and elections of the new speaker and deputy speaker.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl and Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl are to take part in the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council (GAERC), which is to decide on the date of signing of the Constitutional Treaty.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - On the sidelines of GAERC, Minister Vajgl is to participate in the meeting between OSCE Troika (Slovenia, Bulgaria and the Netherlands) and the EU Troika (the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the European Commission).
ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands - A three-day session of the EU Education, Youth and Culture Council is to kick off, at which Slovenia is to be represented by Education Minister Slavko Gaber and Culture Minister Andreja Rihter.
LJUBLJANA - A fresh contingent of Slovenian soldiers is to set off to Bosnia's Doboj to replace the previous group whose six-month term of deployment in the joint SFOR peacekeeping operation Joint Forge is coming to an end. The Slovenian soldiers will be working as part of a Portuguese-Slovenian battalion.
TUESDAY, 13 July
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl will take part in the OSCE Troika (Slovenia, Bulgaria and the Netherlands) meeting.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - FM Ivo Vajgl is scheduled to hold meetings with Slovenia's European Commissioner Janez Potocnik and EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana.
SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina - Europe Minister Milan M. cvikl is to pay a working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
LJUBLJANA - The Together Foundation, a regional centre for the psychosocial well-being of children, will present its activities in SE Europe, Iraq and Northern Caucasus at a press conference.
WEDNESDAY, 14 July
LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to discuss the 9th annual report of the ombudsman and the final report of the commission on the case of the beaten journalist Miro Petek.
BUCHAREST, Romania - State Secretary at the Foreign Ministry Andrej Logar is to participate in the 2nd ministerial session of the Stability Pact's Danube Co-operation Process Ministerial Meeting.
PULJ, Croatia - The 14th meeting of the permanent Slovenia-Croatia joint commission on implementation of the Cross-border cooperation agreement (SOPS).
THURSDAY, 14 July
LJUBLJANA - The government is to convene for a regular weekly session.
VIENNA, Austria - Agriculture Minister Milan Pogacnik is to visit Austria for a one-day working visit upon invitation of his Austrian counterpart Josef Proell.
FRIDAY, 16 July
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU finance ministers will meet for a session to discuss the Union's 2005 common budget. Slovenia will be represented State Secretary at the Finance Ministry Helena Kamnar.
ZAGREB, Croatia - Upon invitation of representatives of the Croatian government, a Slovenian delegation led by Regional Development Minister Zdenka Kovac will be visiting the Croatian capital.
MAASTRICHT, The Netherlands - The EU environment minister will meet for a three-day informal session. Slovenia's Minister Janez Kopac will be there as well.
LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs is to hold a conference upon the launch of the Community Initiative EQUAL. Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski, State Secretary at Labour Ministry Stasa Baloh Plahutnik and head of the Community Initiative unit at the EC Employment and Social Affairs Directorate General Marie Donnelly will present the role of the EQUAL. The initiative tests new ways of tackling discrimination and inequality experienced by those in work and those looking for a job.
SUNDAY, 18 July
ARTVIZE - A commemoration to mark the memory of the young and other victims of Nazi-Fascism will take place in Artvize, SW Slovenia. Speaking at the ceremony will be Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski.
