Ljubljana, 12 July - Dimitrij Rupel, a former foreign minister, has failed in his bid to be named deputy speaker of parliament as he returned to parliament benches after being ejected from the cabinet. His candidacy was endorsed by 42 MPs; he needed 46 votes.
