Ljubljana, 13 July - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 14 July:

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to discuss the 9th annual report of the ombudsman for 2003 and the final report of the commission of inquiry into the attack on the journalist Miro Petek; July regular session resumes at 10 AM. (STA)

MOMJAN, Croatia - The Slovenia-Croatia standing commission on the implementation of the bilateral cross-border cooperation agreement (SOPS) is to meet for its 14th session; a news conference at 2 PM. (STA)

ROGATEC - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc and police chief Darko Anzelj are to speak to the press at 1:30 PM after visiting border crossings with Croatia in the region of Celje.

LJUBLJANA - Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl is to speak about Europe to Young European Federalists (JEF) at 9:45 AM as part of the Brave New Europe international summer school.

LJUBLJANA - A panel within the Brave New Europe international summer school is to discuss new economic and political perspectives of the enlarged EU at 4:30 PM.

BOHINJSKA BELA - Defence Minister Anton Grizold is to speak to the press at 12:30 PM after visiting a group of soldiers finishing a three-month voluntary training - a new mode of recruiting soldiers which has recently been introduced. (STA)

BUCHAREST, Romania - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andrej Logar is to take part in a 2nd ministerial session of the Danube Cooperation Process.

MARIBOR - The recently founded opposition forum, Assembly for the Republic, is to hold a public debate entitled "Nation in a Nation State: for a Slovenia of Equal Opportunities" at 4 PM.

LJUBLJANA - First licenses for real estate agents are to be granted by the Environment Ministry as required by a new law on the property market at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - A promotional film about science and high technologies in Slovenia is to be screened at 11:30 AM, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

GORNJA RADGONA - The Modern Armed Forces 2004 fair is to be presented to the press at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic is to meet Sarajevo Mayor Muhidin Hamamdzic at 4:15 PM.

TALLINN, Estonia - Slovenia's football champions Gorica are to play Flora Tallinn at 6 PM in the first round of qualifications for the Champions League. A return match is to be played in Slovenia on 21 July (STA)

LASKO - A traditional event similar to Germany's Octoberfest is to begin for the 40th year in Lasko, home to Slovenia's brewer Pivovarna Lasko. "Beer and Flowers" is to end on Sunday.
