5,000-Year Old Skull Found on Ljubljana Marshes
Ljubljana, 14 July - On the western edges of the Ljubljana Marshes, in the river Ljubljanica, a skull of a pile-dwelling settler has been discovered, daily Dnevnik reports on Wednesday. The skull - whose age is estimated at 5,000 years - was part of a group of findings from the Copper Age, among them remains of the settlements built on wooden poles, typical of the region.
