LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs is to hold a conference at 9:30 AM upon the launch of the Community Initiative EQUAL - an initiative testing new ways of tackling discrimination and inequality in the labour market. (STA)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - The EU finance ministers are to meet for a session to discuss the Union's 2005 budget. Slovenia is to be represented Finance Ministry State Secretary Helena Kamnar.
MAASTRICHT, The Netherlands - The EU environment ministers are to meet for a three-day informal session. Slovenia's Minister Janez Kopac is to attend as well.
LJUBLJANA - A panel within the Brave New Europe international summer school is to discuss "security threats from New York to Baghdad" at 11 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to hold consultations at 9 AM on its activity prior to the 3 October general election. The party is also to assess the party's position on the political scene.
LJUBLJANA - Three ex energy officials are to outline their view on the recently filed criminal complaints accusing them of causing damage to Slovenia after the Nuclear Power Plant was disconnected from Croatia's grid in the period from mid-1998 to 2000; at 11 AM.
BLED - A ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the Slovenian National Benefit Society, the largest organisation of Slovenians living in the US, is to be organised by the Slovenian Emigrants Society at 3 PM.
MARIBOR - Preparations for the implementation of the Slovenian higher education reform under the Bologna Process are to be discussed at 9 AM as the board of the National Unions of Students in Europe (ESIB) meets.
