Ljubljana, 18 July - Schedule of events in the week from 19 to 25 July:

MONDAY, 19 July

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia-Croatia consultation will take place, led by Slovenia's State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrej Logar and his Croatian counterpart Hido Biscevic.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU agriculture minister will meet, among them Slovenia's Milan Pogacnik.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Meeting of EU justice and home affairs ministers, where Slovenia will be represented by Justice Minister Zdenka Cerar and Interior Minister Rado Bohinc.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's delegation of local communities in the EU Council of the Regions (CoR) will hold a press conference to present its activities in CoR.

MOSTAR, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Culture Minister Andreja Rihter will take part in the conference of the culture ministers of SE Europe Stability Pact countries. Entitled "Cultural Heritage: Bridge to Common Future", the conference will be taking place upon the occasion of the opening of the renovated ancient Mostar bridge.

TUESDAY, 20 July

MARIBOR - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl will meet OSCE Secretary General Jan Kubis.

STRASBOURG, France - The newly-elected European Parliament is to begin its session. The MEPs, among them the seven Slovenians, will elect the president of the parliament and appoint the different parliamentary bodies, as well as decide on the new president of the European Commission.

LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy will present Slovenia's spatial planning strategy at a press conference.

PORTOROZ - Slovenia's Koper police department and Croatia's Pula police will present joint monitoring of the state border to a press conference.

WEDNESDAY, 21 July

LJUBLJANA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a press conference to present current issues and projects.

LJUBLJANA - Education Minister Slavko Gaber will lay the foundation stone for the new student home at the Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences.

LJUBLJANA - Agriculture ministry will hold a press conference to present the beginning of the implementation of the third priority task of the Single Programming Document and the program of rural development for 2004-2006.

LJUBLJANA - Economic and Social Council will meet to discuss Slovenia's development strategy.

THURSDAY, 22 July

LJUBLJANA - The parliament will meet for an extraordinary session to confirm four new MPs, who are to replace the four MPs that were elected to the European Parliament.

LJUBLJANA - The government is to convene for a regular weekly session.

MARIBOR/LENDAVA - Hungary's Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Zoltan Szenes is to come to Slovenia for a two-day official visit upon invitation of his Slovenian counterpart, Major General Ladislav Lipic.

LJUBLJANA - State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrej Logar is to meet Mexico's Deputy Foreign Minister Lourdes Arando Bezaury.

FRIDAY, 23 July

MARIBOR/LENDAVA - Hungary's Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Zoltan Szenes is to conclude his visit to Slovenia.

MOSTAR, Bosnia-Herzegovina - FM Ivo Vajgl will take part in the official opening of the reconstructed ancient Mostar bridge.

SUNDAY, 25 July

PODZEMELJ - The official launch of the 8th camp of Slovenian children abroad, organised by the Slovenian conference of the Slovenian World Congress.
