Beekeepers Demand Ban on Bee-Killing Pesticide
Ljubljana, 21 July - The Slovenian beekeepers have criticised the state for doing nothing to prevent the use of harmful pesticides after half a million bees were poisoned in the coastal region over the weekend. They call on the Agriculture Ministry to ban the use of the pesticide "gaucho", used for pest control during plant growth, which is believed to have killed the bees.
