A quiet morning in Dubrovnik

Ljubljana, 7 November - All is quiet in Dubrovnik and vicinity. This morning at 6.40 the imminent danger allert was suspended and the inhabitants left their shelters after 17 hours of isolation. Five persons were wounded during the yesterday's attacks of the Yugoslav Army, while numerous civilian, economic and cultural facilities were damaged. The damaged sites include both of the Dubrovnik hospitals, the Dom Zdravlja, the Montovjerna elementary school, the Gorica Svetega Vlahe church, the Srđ cable lift and the residential districts of Hladnica, Gruž, Lapad, Montovjerna, Pilami and Ploče. The Army did not spare even the cultural monuments - both the Old Town and the Benedictine Monastery on the island of Lokrum were damaged.
