Slovenian press overview Ljubljana, November 7, 1991 (STA)

Ljubljana, 7 November - DELO: Paralysis of European diplomacy - If Lord Carrington is going to brief the Ministers in Rome, that he is not intent to continue the Peace Conference, while the hostilities in Croatia still last, then the Ministers should resolve to unilateraly suspend the agreement on cooperation between Yugoslavia and the EEC, what would by itself defer also other arrangements on the international level. This would in its turn lead to the endorsement of the fact of the dissolution of our former state by the EEC, since it is also a valid supposition, writes Mr. Stojan Žitko, that the Community would have to reestablish the diplomatic relations with those republics that partake in the negotiations. It is however unclear at this point with which republics is the EEC willing to extend the old or to establish new arrangements.
