Ljubljana, 25 July - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 26 July:

LJUBLJANA - The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Robert Finch, is to start a two-day visit to Slovenia. He is scheduled to meet Finance Minister Dusan Mramor, State Secretary Andrej Engelman and Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic. He is expected to meet the press at 2:30 PM. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl and Europe Minister Milan Cvikl are to attend a meeting of EU ministers to discuss the next round of negotiations within the WTO and the proposal of the European Commission on the 2007-2013 financial perspective. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Slovenian Railways managing director Blaz Miklavcic is to present the company's half-year results, the implementation of the privatisation act and the business reorganisation act. The conference is scheduled at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Information Society Minister Pavel Gantar, head of the ministry's technology sector Miroslav Krajnc and State Undersecretary Robert Gustin are to present future plans concerning the development of a network of public Internet points.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Free Trade Unions Association (ZSSS) is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to present its response to a proposal to raise the age for retirement to 65.

IZOLA - Food producer Droga is to present its new management, business results and 2006-2010 plans at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Europe Minister Milan Cvikl is to attend at 8 PM the launch of a photographic book by Barbara Jakse and Stane Jersic reconstructing the day on which Slovenia became an EU member state.

MARIBOR - A ceremony is to mark 70 years since the death of Rudolf Maister, a Slovenian-born colonel in the Austro-Hungarian army who in 1918 organised local volunteers and took control of the city of Maribor and the surrounding region, thus securing it for the newly formed Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.

LJUBLJANA - A press conference presenting the international summer festival Trnfest, which to kick off on 27 July, is scheduled at 11 AM.

VRSIC - A presentation of the training of the cadets of the Belgian Armed Forces Royal Military Academy is scheduled at 2:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - PM Rop is to receive the Slovenian National Benefit Society from the US.
