MONDAY, 26 July
LJUBLJANA - The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Robert Finch, is to start a two-day visit to Slovenia. He is scheduled to meet Finance Minister Dusan Mramor, State Secretary Andrej Engelman and Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic. On Tuesday Finch is to meet PM Anton Rop, central bank governor Mitja Gaspari and head of the Chamber of Commerce Jozko Cuk.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl and Europe Minister Milan Cvikl are to attend a meeting of EU ministers to discuss the next round of negotiations within the WTO and the proposal of the European Commission on the 2007-2013 financial perspective.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenian Railways managing director Blaz Miklavcic is to present the company's half-year results, the implementation of the privatisation act and the business reorganisation act.
LJUBLJANA - Information Society Minister Pavel Gantar, head of the ministry's technology sector Miroslav Krajnc and State Undersecretary Robert Gustin are to present future plans concerning the development of a network of public Internet points.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Free Trade Unions Association (ZSSS) is to present its response to a proposal to raise the age for retirement to 65.
IZOLA - Food producer Droga is to present its new management, business results and 2006-2010 plans at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA - Europe Minister Milan Cvikl is to attend at 8 PM the launch of a photographic book by Barbara Jakse and Stane Jersic reconstructing the day on which Slovenia became an EU member state.
TUESDAY, 27 July
BERLIN, Germany - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl is to pay an official visit to Germany, where he is scheduled to meet his counterpart Joschka Fischer.
BERN, Switzerland - Interior Minister Rado Bohinc is to visit Switzerland and meet his Swiss counterpart Cristoph Blocher. The two are expected to sign a cooperation agreement concerning organised crime.
LJUBLJANA - Colorado National Guard commander, Maj. Gen. Mason Whitney is to pay a four-day official visit to Slovenia at the invitation of Slovenian Army Deputy Chief-of-Staff, Brigadier Anton Turk. Whitney is to meet head of the parliamentary defence committee Rudolf Peran on Thursday.
LJUBLJANA - The popular summer music festival Trnfest is to kick off. The event wraps up on 31 August.
WEDNESDAY, 28 July
LJUBLJANA - Head of the Italian border region Friuli-Venezia Giulia Riccardo Illy is due in Slovenia to meet, among others, Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl.
THURSDAY, 29 July
ROME/VATICAN - Foreign Minister Ivo Vajgl is to start a two-day visit to Rome and the Vatican.
LJUBLJANA - Oil trader Petrol is to present half-year business results.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenian Railways and Siemens are to sign a contract on the supply of multi-system electric locomotives.
LJUBLJANA - The contract on the transfer of the ownership of Cankarjev dom (Ljubljana's main arts and congress centre) from the municipality to the state is to be signed.
FRIDAY, 30. July
WARSAW, Poland - Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic is to visit Warsaw.
LJUBLJANA - Transport Minister Marko Pavliha is expected to present the programmes, and the strategic and organisation tasks that have been realised during his office term.
LJUBLJANA - The work of the national Inspectorate for the Environment, Spacial Planning and Energy is to be presented by the Environment Ministry.
