Ribičič, Račan in Rome
Rome, 12 November - The leaders of Slovenian and Croatian renovation parties, Ciril Ribičič and Ivica Račan, respectively, told a press conference at the end of the meeting with the Italian Democratic Party of the Left that the prupose of their visit was to make known the truth about the developments in the Balkans and discuss Slovenia's and Croatia's future economic and political relations in the light of mutual respect for the rights of the minorities. Ciril Ribičič said that Slovenia, as distinct from Croatia, needs access to the European markets more than it needs direct aid in the form of loans.
