MONDAY, 9 August

NOVO MESTO - Non-parliamentary party Slovenia Is Ours (SJN) will present its candidates for the October elections at a press conference.

TUESDAY, 10 August

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - An informal meeting with Swedish Finance Minister Bosse Ringholm will wrap up Finance Minister Dusan Mramor's working visit to Sweden.

LJUBLJANA - Europe Minister Milan M. Cvikl will meet EU's Regional Policy Commissioner Jacques Barrot.

LJUBLJANA - Ministry of Health, Ljubljana University Clinic and construction company SCT are to sign a contract on building a new pediatric hospital.

LJUBLJANA - The programme of the Ex ponto 2004 festival will be presented at a press conference. The international theatre and dance festival will be launched on Sunday.

RADOVLJICA - A concert by Musica Secreta will launch the 22nd music festival Radovljica.

WEDNESDAY, 11 August

PIRAN - The Tartini music festival 2004 will showcase its programme at a press conference, ahead of its start on Friday.

THURSDAY, 12 August

LJUBLJANA - At a press conference the society for the protection of the Alps, CIPRA-Slovenia, committee for protection of Sava Dolinka river and Mountain Wilderness Slovenia will reveal their views on some current environmental issues in the Slovenian Alps.

LJUBLJANA - International Youth Day.

FRIDAY, 13 August

IZOLA - A press conference will be held ahead of the traditional fishing festival, which will take place on 20 and 21 August.

SUNDAY, 15 August

ACROSS SLOVENIA - The Assumption, a national holiday, will be celebrated in numerous Catholic churches across Slovenia.
