Slovenian Women Paid Less Than Men in 2002
Ljubljana, 8 August - The average gross wage for women in 2002 amounted to SIT 225,078 (EUR 938.50), lagging behind pre-tax wage for men by SIT 11,199 (EUR 46.70). The largest differences between paychecks were recorded in health care and social services, where men earned by SIT 143,000 (EUR 596.30) more than their female counterparts, data by the Statistics Office show.
